sometimes you find fun friends

Sometimes you find fun friends and do everything together like...

have beach BBQs

go to lactose village aka Baked Bear

go to the San Diego County Fair

and play with their babies

proud wife moment 3

I can't believe it's actually happening! The 4th & FINAL year of law school starts tomorrow.
These past couple years have been a crazy adventure but I'm stoked to be (almost) closing this chapter of our lives. Ya we've a lot of fun, but what you don't see behind the scenes are the countless hours Sam puts into school. He strives to be the best and do well in school and I'm so proud of him for that. And even when there's supposed to be a break from school in the summer to work/intern, he still manages to get an A in his summer class on top of working! Sometimes I don't give him enough credit--school is hard! Heck, I made sure to finish school as fast as possible because it's the absolute worst. But Sam loves learning and is good at it. And he has the drive and motivation to do it and do it well. Basically he is a bossdog!! (this is my new favorite saying--anyone seen A Dog's Purpose?) So sorry for another round of #braggingwivesannoymous (previous here and here) but I can't help it when someone is just killing it!
PS. these pictures are from a few Sundays ago at sunset cliffs.

loving san diego in the swag wagon

We've been lazy bums this summer. Not that we haven't been busy this summer, but we haven't been living up to summer's full potential. So far we've only been surfing a handful of times, we haven't really gone on any big trips together or done anything out of the ordinary
BUT our everyday life in San Diego is something to be happy about!

Yes work sucks most days but I'm thankful I have a job to support our family while Sam's in school
& I can't forget to be thankful for the minivan that gets me to work #blessed.
It's happened about 3 different times where I'll just be driving the party van home from work, traffic's crazy bc everyone & their mom & their dog are at the beach, the windows are rolled down bc the swag wagon hasn't had AC since '12, I have my one and only cd-- One Direction playing and I just get this rush of happiness like almost to the verge of tears because I love our little life in San Diego.

So I guess even though my body hurts from work and I smell like periodontal disease &
what we thought was our "reliable car" is dead & the minvan has 235,000 miles and isn't going to last forever & we didn't go to Europe this summer like everyone else & Sam has an ulcer from job searching & we still don't have a bed frame and sleep on a mattress on the floor & we live in a tiny apartment with no AC
LIFE IS GOOD!!

Exhibit A:
So I guess you could look at our "lazy bum summer" as a summer prepping for the future because we've got some big things coming up... (no I'm not pregnant). Things like buying a new car, finishing year 4 of law school, taking the Bar, finding a job after graduation, and paying off student loans.
R U having an anxiety attack yet bc I am?! So buckle your minivan seat belts folks!!
Next year is going to be a doozy but an adventure none the less.
