hometown date

It's been almost 3 years since I've been home to visit so we took a much needed trip over Labor Day weekend to visit good ol' Modesto and the fam.

We went to see the Oakland Temple after Dad picked us up from the airport. Love this place.
I haven't seen it since they added the waterfall.

Showed Sam all Modesto has to offer even in the 100+ degree weather including the Modesto Farmer's Market (just reliving the glory days of playing my violin there every Saturday), saw Mom's office building, and lovely downtown...

Visited Gina at work (Brother Daly's office) and saw all the animals. It was insane!

Visited with Grandma Lola and Aunt Verla (she just turned 103!) and brought them flowers from the Farmer's Market.

Went swimming at the Sherwood Forest Pool.

Saw the babies at church on Sunday and heard them play their violins.

Woke up early with Dad to go to the Color The Skies Festival in Ripon. But it was soooo hot that the balloons were having a hard time rising.

Dad drove us up to Angles Camp, Calaveras Big Trees, and Mercer Caverns. We would visit at least once when I was growing up so it was fun to show Sam.

Mom took us up to San Francisco for 2 days and we spent her birthday up there as well.
We saw the Golden Gate Bridge + proceeded to have a photoshoot there, sorry my bad.
